MISSION MOMENT

THANKS TO EACH ONE OF YOU who contributed to Michael & Andrea (Puckett) Brewer for their Missionary effort in Haiti at the orphanage where they have 22 children to care for, on Sunday, January 17 and 24, a total of $2615 PLUS $175 to UMCOR for Relief in Haiti.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU who will contribute on January 31 for the Community Food Connection & Holston Home for Children in Greeneville, TN of food, personal hygiene items, money & checks. These will be delivered the following week.

LOOKING AHEAD: Materials have been ordered & will be in the narthex for you to pick up to use during the Lenten Season for worship & meditation...plus banks for your daily giving to help feed the poor in the USA through the Society of St. Andrew Gleaning Network, the Potato Project & the Harvest of Hope. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17 & lasts for 40 days, excluding Sundays, through Easter Sunday April 4, 2010. It is hoped that you will deposit a daily offering into the banks (which will be provided) and these will be dedicated on Easter Sunday. A Daily Meditation booklet will be available in the narthex...along with a booklet for the Good Friday Fast on April 2.
